I'm back with more testimonies =]
Hi everyone, sorry for the long break. This is Ezekiel's mummy, I really didn't have the time to update the blog as I was busy preparing my school's children term 2 progress reports. After much nagging from friends to update my blog, we are here to share more of God's blessings in our lives.
That's Ezekiel in his Primary School uniform=>(See Pic). Actually it's really a testimony how he managed to get into this school, I can only say it's God, I remembered last year when he was in K2 I was sort of like searching for Primary School for him and I called up a few schools to enquire and to actually tell them about Ezekiel's condition as I see the need to let the school know more about Ezekiel, (even tough Ezekiel is able to walk, run, swim...etc like any other children, but the way he walks is still a bit different from normal kids and we do still believe for a complete healing in him that he will one day walk normally) and to my surprise there are schools that actually rejected me, by telling me that they "discouraged" me to send my son to their school as they don't want to be responsible for anything happen to him in school, I was of cos pretty sad to hear that, and I did ask Daddy God to guide me to the "Right School" for Ezekiel, I told Him that I'm not looking for those so called "very super school" I just want a school that accept Ezekiel, a school that has love for him , and that the school will focus more on character building rather than always stress the child academically, and of cos I do hope that it's a christian sch, and God was really good He never disappoint us, I was so called recommended to this school (Geylang Methodist Primary School) and I called up the sch and spoke to the VP and they are very happy and more than willing to accept Ezekiel and they make ways to help me to get Ezekiel in to school, (I don't mean by getting in thru the back doors, what the school did was to arrange me to be volunteers as we are staying pretty far from the sch and neither my husband nor me were from that sch. The sch was very gracious to make arrangements for me to complete my 40 hours of volunteers asap) and by the Grace of God, Ezekiel managed to get in finally. Other than giving Thanks to my Dearest Daddy God, I really do thank the principal, the vice-principals, teachers and the admin staffs that make all things possible for us, and I can only say they are really a very "Grace Grace School"
Recently I just attended his school's open house, and am happy to find that this is really really really the "Right School" for Ezekiel, cos the sch teaching method is very similar to what I believe in, for the 1st half year the sch used the method of "Learn thru Play". With this method Thank God Ezekiel doesn't have much homework or paper work and best of all no mid-year exams, it's a lot of using concrete materials to teach, which is what I also believe in too. The sch did take some pictures to show us how the children learn in sch, and I very was of cos rather happy to see that. And be'cos of this method that they used, Ezekiel enjoys sch very much, cos no stress for him, and he is really happy going to sch every day. I always believe that a child learn better when they enjoy what they are doing, they learn be'cos it's fun. Compared him with some of my friend's children, I have not regrets for sending him to this sch despite the sch is rather far from our house. I've seen some kids who really detest going to school be'cos of the heavy work loads even at Primary 1 only and as a results the kids simply just switched off.
Disclaimer: Must mention that not all schools are like that, maybe some kids do can perform despite of the heavy work loads and they can learn better with more home works. I'm just sharing about my son only.
My advice for parents who are looking for school for their darlings, is to pray and commit it into Daddy God's hands, cos He really knows better than us what is the best for our darlings. He is always there ready to help and He never disappoint us. Get Him involve in raising our champions.
